The second round of the group stages started with in fine form with a superb display from Portugal yet again. Deco opened the goal sheet with an 8 minute tap in after a Petter Cech half saved from Ronaldo.

Just 9 minutes later saw Sionko of Czech Republic header home an equalizer from a corner kick, sending the stadium into meltdown from ecstatic fans. It was end to end stuff as Czech Republic came close a few times until 41st minute nearly saw Ronaldo put Portugal 2-0 ahead. Only a quick thinking and excellent as always Petter Cech deflected the ball away, saving the day.

The second half was a lot like the first with both teams attacking the ball looking for another goal. Then in the 62nd minute the “golden child” Christiano Ronaldo scores his first goal of the championship to put Portugal 2-0 ahead. With a low drive through chechs defenders legs to secure a 2-1 lead and put Portugal on the road to victory.

Czech Republic didnt exactly give in. And had a few chances of there own with Sionko just headering one over the cross bar from a corner kick with 10 minutes to go. Portugal were starting to look twitchy. Then in the second minute of added time (not sure where all these 3 minutes keep coming from). Portugal were so quick off the mark i nearly missed it myself.

They took a free kick in a matter of nano seconds straight to ronaldos feet who was 20 yrds ahead of anyone else in the blink of an eye.. Who unselfishly dispatched it too his team mate Quaresma to slip in into an open goal for a 3-1 win.

Portugal have really come to town on this years Euro championship. And im tipping them to be in this years final. They are simply head and shoulders above any other team except Holland. And if ive read it correctly. It could be a Holland and Portugese Final.. Now that would be a game to watch..
