Christiano Ronaldo never had it this good - EPL crown and then the UEFA champions league this season. What else a footballer can wish for?

 He has been instrumental for the Manchester United’s undisputed overhaul records for this season. Highest goal scorer of English Premiere League this season has enough reasons to rejoice. Euro2008 is a certain thing that he would like to obtain for Portugal this time atleast, unlike the last Euro cup which they missed out to Greece. Sweet revenge will certainly be in Ronaldo’s mind.

Scolari ( head coach of Portugal team ), is upbeat about his team to be the strongest contender this time. England is out of the league - Ya, we all know they failed to qualify. And a subtle reckoning of this fact certainly doesn’t makes me happy.But, I guess - finally everything boils down to the football and am a Hard Core Football fan at the first place.

World champions Italy has had to digest the recent after-shocks. Cannavaro is doubtful - at least for the initial few matches. All this while I thought them to be the strongest contender, but I doubt that now.  Headbut victimised world champions certainly would need another Zidane to give them away the Euro2008. ( Zizou - Italy misses you ).

Greece - I hate the fact that they won the last Euro Cup. Not sure why We knew, atleast most of us knew they were the underdogs. Anyway - lets not get bogged with that at least for this Euro2008. Things will be different this time.

Deco - as smooth as he has been always will be a key player to watch out for.

Nani - this seasons find of Manchester. Fast, agile and sublime.

Simao - ya, how can one forget the top scorer of europe (1983, 1985). Probably his last of some of the bigger tourneys he would take part in, and he certainly would love to repeat the history.

Carvalho - we all know what he means for Chelsea’s impregnable defense.

Ferreira - terry would be obliged if we name him here. ( I suppose ).

Nuno Gomes - the star of Euro 2000 has a lot of things to emulate back again. Find here the Portugal lineup for Euro2008.

I could probably make a list of unending postulations upon why I would bet on Portugal - at 15/2 Portugal are hotly tipped and my main tip for the Euro 2008 championship, or atleast will make it too the final.
