Well Germany were in impressive form and could of been 1 nil up within the first 4 minutes apart from an unbelievable screw up rom Miroslav Klose. Rather than slotting the ball under/over the Polish keeper he choses to pass it to Mario Gomez who slides in and misses a sitter. gotta be the worst decision of the tournament so far.

The Germans looked in rampant form, and it wasnt long before Lukas Podolski scored the opening goal on the 20th Minute mark and the Germans dont look much like slowing down. Germany pretty much dominated the match from start to end. Poland came on strong in a 20 minute spell in the second half. But with German efficiency and strength of squad.

With some lovely German passing Bastian Schweinsteiger lays it off to Miroslav Klose, whose embarrassing air-shot sets up Lukas Podolski who scores a fantastic goal in the 3oth minute of the second half. Poland pressed strong again in the later stages of the match but still wernt up to breaking the German goal line. with a good save from Jens Lehman, and the match ended 2-0.

So thats 1-0 for Croatia over austria and 2-0 for the Germans over Poland. And 2 predictions i got right today ! Not bad for a newbie pundit..

Onards and upwards.. Its France v’s Romania and Holland V’s Italy.. Should be some fun tomorrow..
