Although on paper france are a far superior team than Romania. It seems they are just lacking that vital spark again. Like in the Wordcup 2002 when france lost there opening game. There wasnt a lot of direct action from the French team.

The first half sees Romania and France pretty much cancel each other out with not a lot of flare or goal scoring opportunities. The second half started off better. with most of the attack coming from Romania as France back pedelled.

France came back again in the 2nd half with a bit of pressure, but overall it was a poor performance from France. Very lacklustre and no forward motion. France looked very average and i cant see them qualifying now. with Italy and Netherlands to play. But as France being France you can never right them off.. Just look at the world cup. they made the final after losing their perliminay games.

The game was pretty evenly matched and not alot to shout about. France need to watch out as they have drawn romania in the World Cup qualifiers aswell.. Romania will only grow in confidence from the game.

- France were Not convincing over all and i dont see them getting anywhere near the final.
